Excel Budget Template for Household and Company Planner Tutorial


The excel budget template is designed to help you in planning and managing your budget. It main function serve as household budget spreadsheet excel. Aside for personal household needs, the monthly budget planner excel can be for small projects in team or company. For projects, you may change the month into yearly budget planner excel. The excel spreadsheet household budget consist of 3 menus or sheets. To use this, follow the instructions or see the pictures (budget template excel 2013 version):

1. MONTHLY INCOME

First, input the Income name and amount in each rows. You can add new column for comment or descriptions.

2. MONTYLY EXPENSES

The main feature in excel budget template. Next input the expenses name and type for every month. Then estimate and calculate how much amount needed in each expenses in that month.

3. BALANCE SUMMARY

Compare the balance and the cash flow result with the planned expenses. Then, correct the monthly budget expenses until you satisfy with the plan. You can see how many percentage of income spent by expenses. 4. If you want, print each sheets of excel budget template into report.

You can add the sub totals at the end of the Incomes and Expenses sheet to make it easier in determine the budget. Be careful not to add the same income or expenses or row. It is suggested to divide and categorize each income or expenses to avoid redundant data, especially if you want to make the excel budget template for small project. Example of categories in expense: household items, food, transportations, software planning, etc. For another customization, financial budget planner template can be used to compare the planned budget with actual spending. To do this, just make a new column. Rename both columns into Budget and Actual. In the Budget Column, add the planned budget, the maximum of tolerated budget in the expense or Income. Then in the Actual Column, input the actual spending on the expense (actual gain in Income). Additionally, you can add new sheets to excel budget template for another type of budget planning like Savings or just merge it with Expense sheet. Note: Saving is the name of the new sheet. The C4:C7 (read as C4 to C7) are the fields to calculate. And to customize the chart, follow the instruction based on picture below.

Below the summary, add the new column. We call it Saving. Then, input the formula above into the Saving field. Click the chart, a blue selection will appear like the arrow. Drag the selection until all of the column (excluding the Balance) selected.
